Telescope: Afocal coupling using the Mt. Wilson Observatory 60" reflector at the f/16 Cassegrain focus with a 100mm Masuyama Kellner eyepiece.
Mount: Equatorial fork

Date: 06/30/01, 8:18pm PDT.
Comments: This image was taken at the 24,384mm Cassegrain focus of the historic 60" reflector. Seeing on the mountain that evening was measured at around .8 - 1.0 arc secs.
At 55 miles in diameter, Tycho is one of the most spectacular craters on the Moon. Thousands of much smaller craters can also be seen sprinkling the lunar surface, many of them looking to be less than 1 mile in diameter.
