Comments: This close-up image shows sunspot 9393 nearing the solar limb. This sunspot covers an area of the Sun equivalent to the combined surface area of 13 Earths. It is the largest sunspot since 1991.
Seeing was good with high intermittent clouds. Air temperature was 83F. Image would not have been possible without Jim Janusz. The 4" aperture of Jim's AP Traveler proved to be perfect for the seeing conditions we experienced that morning.
