Comments: On July 30, 1971, Apollo 15 landed in a region at the base of the Apennine Mountains called the Hadley Delta. Cutting across the Hadley Delta is the famous Hadley Rille. Roughly .75 mile across, Hadley Rille was extensively studied by astronauts David Scott and James Irwin and can be seen in this image as a blackish line just to the left of the yellow dot marker.
