Comments: Ranging in elevation from 10,800ft - 11,200ft, Pioneer Basin is one of the most spectacular lake basins in the Sierra Nevada.
In this image we can see the full Moon along with the stars of Sagittarius and Scorpius shining overhead. The mighty Sierra surrounding the 13,000ft peaks of Mt. Mills, Mt. Abbot and Mt. Dade can be seen in the distance, 12 miles away.
