Subject: The famous Mt. Pinos parking lot on 4th of July weekend, 2000.

Comments: The most famous astrophotography site in Southern California and perhaps the world, Mt. Pinos is often very crowded on warm summer new Moon weekends. While not having the solitude of a more isolated site, sharing the night sky and catching up on the latest astrophoto news and techniques with fellow astrophotographers can be just as enjoyable. Most of the astrophotographers choose to set up on the north end of the parking lot - left side of image.
Other astrophotographers present that weekend were Tony Hallas, Martin Germano, James Foster, Bob and Janice Fera, Butch Trembley, Michael Stecker and Augie Orlandi.
