Comments: A beautiful emission nebula found in the summer Milky Way, M16 is located 6,500 light years away and is
roughly 66x53 light years in extent. Although the nebula is commonly referred to as M16, the nebula
itself is cataloged as IC4703. The star cluster found within the nebula is M16.
