Comments: IC348 is an extremely faint reflection nebula located near the Perseus/Taurus border. It is considered one of the faintest nebulas to photograph in the northern
sky, much fainter than the more famous Witch Head Nebula - IC2118 in Eridanus. The bright star near center is 3.8 magnitude Omicron Persei.
It is thought that this is only one of two color images taken by a amateur astrophotographer that shows this nebula's faint outer extentions. The other being taken by George Greaney of Las Vegas, Nevada. If you know of another image please contact the author so this page can be updated.
