Comments: The region surrounding the Cone Nebula is one of the richest regions in the winter Milky Way. Nebulosity overflows the frame in this image. Objects shown in the field include NGC2261 - Hubble's Variable Nebula(lower right), NGC2264 - The Christmas Tree Cluster and Cone Nebula(at center) and the open cluster NGC 2259 at upper right.
